Vipassana

What is Vipassana?

Vipassana is simple practical way to achieve real peace of mind and to lead a happy, useful life.

Vipassana enables us to experience peace and harmony. It purifies the mind, freeing it from suffering and the deep-seated causes of suffering.

The practice leads step-by-step to the highest spiritual goal of full liberation from all mental defilements (impurities).

Vipassana is a meditation technique which works to achieve peace of mind.

From this state one can act from attention, instead of reaction out of confusion (which is unfortunately the default state many people react from).

Documentary: Doing Time, Doing Vipassana

The documentary is about the Tihar prison in New Delhi, where a new Inspector General (a great lady) looks for a way to change the organisation from a 'university for criminals' to a 'place for personal development'.

The themes I clearly see in it are:

•(female) leadership

•postpone judgement with respect

•organisational change with a soul

•allowing space for the new

  1. positive alternatives

It’s a movie worth watching, for anyone.

Especially if you are active in the field of

organisational change or leadership.
